DESIGN
SERVICES

Our team of specialist design engineers applies expert practical knowledge to bring design to life while minimising construction costs/delays and ensuring an enhanced end product.

We work closely with design teams to allow your plans to stay on track with the application of practical construction experience and know-how.
Our ‘Right First Time’ philosophy drives our team to wholly evaluate and stress test all elements of the design before ground is broken on any project.
This approach to Quality Assurance ensures that the design is fully robust – supported by the appropriate drawings and sound specifications – and its practicalities fully understood, and planned for by the project team.
Our process promotes strong collaboration and on-site co-ordination. This ultimately reduces overall project cost, saves time in pre-construction, and delivers a final product that is both energy efficient and completed to the highest standards.

DESIGN PROCESS BREAKDOWN
  • BIM Management
  • Capturing design change.
  • Design review carried out.
  • Project technical requests: These control the technical communications between the delivery, technical team and contractors, sub-tier suppliers, designers and vendors.
  • RFI (Request for information): Designers are queries for additional information or notified of any proposals for change so that the development is quality assured and practical on-site while in keeping with the intent of the design.
  • FCD (Field Change Design): Changes made by the contractor that do not affect additional services, i.e. changes to design that do not affect other design
  • Red line Drawing changes: Drawing mark-ups to capture change and feedback to designer to update on project ‘as-built’.
  • Design verification: Ensures what is designed is practicable on-site and can be constructed to budget.
  • Develop client’s TRS (Technical Requirement Spec) – detailed specification that the product needs to meet i.e. safety rating, flow rate, operability, human factors, etc.
